Good cycle equipment, Bad assemble instructions
I received the CycleOps and climbing block on schedule. I am a mtn biker, so I changed my knobby wheel with a training wheel and it's sturdy, quiet, no vibration and easy to use. I use the trainer 4 days a week.

However, I gave it a 4 star rating because the assembly instruction was not clear, super confussing. I had to go online at other sites and complete the set up based on other customers whom purchased the same or similar item.

I love it and would definetly recommend this product to friends.

SWEET DUDE
It's louder than I expected, but its also quieter than I thought. It's on the 2nd floor and to the people downstairs it sounds like a washer/dryer, but that's not too bad.

It gives great resistance! Woohoo!

Horrible Experience and It's Not Over Yet
Assembly instructions had to be scanned and enlarged to even read the tiny print and see the tiny diagrams. Instructions were incomplete and vague. For example, you are instructed to attach parts to the CONES, but nowhere on the diagrams do you see a visual representation of the items referred to as CONES - nothing that actually tells you what the cone IS. I tried numerous times to figure out what a CONE might be, but there was absolutely no cone-SHAPED item anywhere. It turns out CONES are simply a socket of sorts with a notch in it. Still, why not at least label the item that is referred to as a cone, even if it is not cone-shaped?

Also, it's pretty common practice to provide the consumer with a list of tools necessary to complete the job at the BEGINNING of the instructions. This list does not exist at ALL in this case.

Did I know I would need some knowledge of bicycle mechanics, assembly, and disassembly in order to do this? No. In this case, you are given information way down in the middle of the assembly instructions: "As the trainer cones are designed for use with the supplied skewer, you must replace your rear skewer with the one enclosed." Really? And what if 2 of my 5 bicycles have their gear mechanism built into the existing skewer? Oh, you can't use either of those bikes with the CycleOP, sorry. The company that makes the product didn't think it would be necessary to tell me that BEFORE I made the purchase. Sort of a "oops, sorry.....good luck" kind of thing.

Now I'm getting ready to return to my local bicycle shop for the THIRD time with bike #3 in hopes that it might be compatible with this product. They're extremely helpful and nice at the shop and it just made sense to turn this whole mess over to someone with experience.

If you're a bicycle mechanic and perhaps psychic (you nearly HAVE to be to read the minds of the idiots who put these instructions together), then you might find this product easy to assemble. However, if you're a person who, in spite of owning 5 bicycles ranging from Motobecaines to a Gary Fisher, doesn't do much, if anything, in the way of mechanics on his bikes (but LOVES riding them and has used a bike as his primary mode of transportation for over 24 years in New York City and plans his vacations based on the availability of bike rentals at the desired location), then BEWARE - you are in for a frustrating ride - and all before you actually get your bike attached to the product.

Great trainer, worth the money, instructions need work
Bottom line: well worth the money, great product!

Purchased this after moving north to a colder climate that doesn't support cycling 11 months out of the year. The set-up instructions left quite a bit to be desired. You have to keep looking back to the front page to see what part is what as the pictures in the instructions do not match the text. Once you understand how it sets up the actual work is easy. My wife and I did it in less than 30 minutes. Cycle Ops has a decent video on their website showing how to properly attach your bike that I would recommend anyone who buys this to watch. Their is a little noise from the trainer but it is not bad; the wind in your ears riding outside is louder. I can hear my music and my TV just fine with only a minor increase to the volume. I purchased the climbing block and the mat to go underneath. So far I actually prefer to ride without the climbing block. It seems that even on the lowest option the climbing block still puts the front wheel too high for normal riding comfort. Without the block your weight is pushed a little forward but I find that I enjoy the arm workout.

The included training DVD is decent. There is really only one warm-up and one workout on the video. The rest is just extra boring commentary and interviews at a race. But I really enjoy using the warm-up completely muted and the race without the music and get a great workout from it. That being said, I wouldn't pay good money to buy the video separate.

This is my first trainer but I've used Saris racks and if the trainer as the same quality I will not be disappointed. My Saris truck rack gave me five good years with over 60,000 miles of carrying one or two bikes across country and only one piece has started to wear out.

Good trainer at this price point
Nearly identical to Fluid 2 Pro trainer in function, but less frills, and less $$$. Fluid 2 trainer operates smoothly, and is constructed well.
